Sofia has had spinal muscular atrophy since childhood and the wheelchair is an integral part of her life. This bright, friendly and smiling girl leads an active social life, attends secondary school and enjoys wheelchair sports.
Last year, the idea of buying a sports wheelchair together came from @Pummelzacke in #Ukrainespace (Twitter/X).
After receiving a lot of feedback, we quickly realised that we weren't going to be able to help with an off-the-shelf wheelchair.
Together with the orthopaedic technology specialists from the company ottobock We have now been able to hand over a customised wheelchair. The wheelchair is customisable, with the ability to adjust the angle, backrest and seat height. It is also fully collapsible, which makes it very easy to transport.
